Nickelback’s Oct. 12 show at the New Orleans Arena has been canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to a press release from the band.
The stop was part of their ongoing Dark Horse tour with Three Days Grace and Buckcherry, which includes dates on Oct. 8 in Lexington, Ky.; Oct. 10 in Little Rock; and Oct. 15 in Oklahoma City.
The Sept. 27 press release also stated “Always a favorite tour stop, Nickelback is deeply sorry for any inconvenience this causes. In light of the recent hardships endured by the people of the Gulf Coast, Nickelback was very much looking forward to entertaining their fans there and hopes to return to rock the Big Easy in the near future.”

Nickelback has been nominated for Juno Fan Choice Award this year. They are up against Ginette Reno, Johnny Reid, Maxime Landry, and Michael Buble.
Nickelback has also been nominated for Rock Album of the Year for Dark Horse. Their competition includes Old Crows/Young Cardinals by Alexisonfire, III by Billy Talent, We Are The Same by The Tragically Hip, and Life Starts Now by Three Days Grace.

The festival features both fan-based events as well as an outlet for new talent and music industry networking.
The 2010 Juno Awards are set to take place April 12-18 in St. John’s, NL, Canada, with the awards show itself broadcast on Sunday, April 18. Support Nickelback by checking out the awards show and on tour, with dates schedule now through June!

A mere 19,605 Facebook fans currently separate Nickelback from a Pickle.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Somewhere, someone out there decided that the delicious concession-stand treat could out-fan Nickelback. So far, Nickelback’s Facebook page has a fan tally of 1,412,186 and the pickle’s Facebook page fan tally is weighing in at 1,392,581.
The pickle, which now has an official Web site titled “Pickleback,” is the second food group to compete with a major musician. Another Facebook group titled “Can this onion ring get more fans than Justin Bieber?” was actually deleted by the Web site, though it’s back up and running with just under 60,000 fans. Bieber, on the other hand, has 1.7 million fans.
As a Nickelback fan, there are only two things you can do to pledge your Nickelback support: 1) Become a Nickelback fan on Facebook and 2) buy Nickelback tickets.

Nickelback just finished up their summer trek, touring with Hinder, Papa Roach and Saving Abel.
The rockers packed this tour with an interesting peek into their world - including some cover tunes (such as AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” and an acoustic set of Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places,” an exciting drum solo by Daniel Adair and some nostalgic images through the eyes of the band, as well as social causes (during “If Everyone Cared”).
The band really upped the ante with this tour – expect much more from Chad Kroeger and Co. when they hit the road again!

Nickelback kicked off the second leg of their summer tour this week in Darien Lake, NY.
The rockers plan to make their way down the East Coast through July, before heading Westward into the Great Lakes region and the Midwest in August, and then finishing things up on the West Coast in September.
The band will be in good company and fans will be happy - Hinder, Papa Roach and Saving Abel will offer up support through the trek.
The band spent March and April touring the country in support their sixth album, Dark Horse. The collection debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart, and has sold 1.5 million copies in the US. It’s a follow-up to All the Right Reasons in 2005. That album spent 112 consecutive weeks in the Billboard Top 30.
Dark Horse includes the hits “Gotta Be Somebody” and “Something in Your Mouth.”
